TELEFIRE TLD-R8

The TELEFIRE TLD-R8 is an 8-channel dry contact relay expansion module that mounts on the TLD-08 main board. This module enables the use of dry contact relays alongside the TLD-08’s open collector outputs, providing even more versatile control options. The TLD-R8 relays use the same addresses as the TLD-08 main board’s open collector outputs and are activated by the same logic conditions.

Installation and Connection

Address Programming: The TLD-R8 does not require separate address programming as it uses the same addresses as the TLD-08 main board.

Control Panel Definitions: Define relay outputs as “Control Out” type in the control panel, with modes configurable as “Alarm”, “Fault”, “Fan”, “Damper”, or “Speaker” switching.

Wiring: Relay contacts are unsupervised and not current limited – suitable for same room connection only.

Safety Requirements

Voltage Limitation: Maximum 30Vdc voltage can be applied to relay contacts.

Installation Location: The module should be installed in a closed location, avoiding exposure to outdoor environment to prevent high humidity, dust, or air pollution.

Same Room Connection: Relay contacts are unsupervised, therefore suitable for same room connection only.
