Description
TELEFIRE LI-3000E
The TELEFIRE LI-3000E is a non-addressable line isolator module that provides advanced protection against short circuits in SLC (Signaling Line Circuit) loops. The module automatically isolates the faulty section from the rest of the loop, enabling continuous system operation even under fault conditions. The LI-3000E does not require address programming and receives power directly from the SLC loop.
Key Features
Automatic fault protection: After power up or system reset, the isolator checks for short-circuit conditions. If no short-circuit is detected, it switches the circuit on and enables normal operation of the second SLC loop connection.
Intelligent re-test cycle: When a short-circuit occurs, the isolator automatically opens the circuit and disconnects the faulty side. It retests after 3 seconds, then again after 1 minute. It repeats testing for 8 minutes, then performs periodic checks every 2 minutes.
Address-free operation: The LI-3000E does not require address programming, unlike the LI-3000 module. The control panel will report missing devices in case of disconnection.
Compact design: Specifically designed to fit within the TFB-180CA raised base, directly beneath the detector base.
Technical Specifications
- Module PCB dimensions: 25 x 75 mm
- Operating temperature range: -10°C to +60°C
- Relative humidity: 10% to 93% (non-condensing)
- Operating voltage: 21V modulated (supplied via SLC line)
- Current consumption:
o Normal status: .5 mA
o During short or open: .0 mA
Installation Configurations
Class A configuration: Closed loop arrangement that does not reduce loop capacity. Each loop can still handle 127 addresses. ADR-3000 requires minimum 3 isolator modules per loop, ADR-7000 requires minimum 1 module.
Class B configuration: Branching T-shaped SLC loop configuration. With isolators, each branch is protected from other branches.
TFB-180CA raised base installation: The LI-3000E is specifically designed to fit within the TFB-180CA raised base, allowing discrete placement directly beneath the detector.
Wiring and Connection
The module connects to the control panel via two-wire copper cable, 18-12 AWG cross section (.8-.3 mm²). Twisted-pair cable is recommended. Connect incoming SLC wires to SLC-L and outgoing wires to SLC-R terminals.
